Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard courts

A comeback the Russian player won his first championship for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the competition championship match.

The athlete, a ex- world number one, has experienced a challenging year, managing just one match at the Grand Slams and experiencing a meltdown at the US Open.

His varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time mentor Cervara.

Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a hard-fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over Frenchman Moutet.

This represents the player's initial trophy following the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt from that period of that year.

The win also indicates Medvedev has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.

"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional Medvedev.

"This victory is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."

Medvedev, the former major winner, had lost his past six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.

Medvedev's counter-punching approach and regular outbursts on the playing surface had led commentators to question if his capacity to play at the top level was finished.

Yet the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, striving to advance forward and play aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.

He recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, winning 4 of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.

The competitors exchanged service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his initial ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to force a decider.

Moutet defended 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to that score to serve for the match.

Appropriately, he secured the title with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to handle a shot after over two and a half hours.
